Today’s Challenge

As we open this site during the first quarter of 2023, we see a church in Louisiana in turmoil with a movement by some churches toward disaffiliation. Some leaders have, in essence, left the church but remained to create turmoil. They have failed to understand the faith, to understand the legions of Methodists before them who have grown in their faith and developed in their love and knowledge of their fellow human beings. The issue of disaffiliation and the protect of the assets of the Louisiana Annual Conference is a key issue – respecting the legions before us who have pledged not only their allegiance but their money and assets to the work and mission of our United Methodist denomination.
